Lake Annecy

Lake Anecy, Europe’s cleanest lake

Lake Annecy, also known as the ‘blue lake’, is a French lake located in the Alps, in Haute-Savoie

It formed about 18 000 years ago from the melting of the great alpine glaciers. It is surrounded by the Massif des Bornes (the Tournette which peaks at 2351m above sea level, the Dents de Lanfon, Mount Veyrier and Mount Baron) and by the Massif des Bauges on the West (the Semnoz and the Roc des Bœufs). You can drive, walk or ride a bicycle on the shores of the lake (about 40km) and enjoy the beautiful landscapes.

The lake and its region are an attractive and touristic destination, well known for the countless activities they have to offer (water sports, mountain sports, paragliding…) and for its unspoiled nature.
